Whot Challenge #02: He Forgot Last Card. Can You Finish the Round?
Try Whot Challenge #02. Your opponent forgot to say Last Card, and you have three cards left. Can you find the clean winning sequence?
This Whot challenge uses the WhotGuide 1v1 rule set. A card can match by shape or number, card 1 is Hold On, and the missed Last Card penalty is treated as a table rule for this puzzle. Your job is to find the clean order that lets you punish the mistake and finish your hand.

Solution to Challenge #01
In Challenge #01, the table card was Circle 5 and your hand was:
- Circle 1
- Triangle 1
- Triangle 8
- Square 8
Under the WhotGuide 1v1 demo rules, the winning sequence was Circle 1 -> Triangle 1 -> Triangle 8 -> Square 8.
- Circle 1 matches Circle 5 and gives you another play.
- Triangle 1 matches by number and gives you another play.
- Triangle 8 matches Triangle and skips the opponent.
- Square 8 matches by number and is your final card.
In a 1v1 game, Suspension gives control back to you because the only opponent is skipped. That is why the opponent never gets another chance.
The situation
You are in a tight 1v1 game. Your opponent just played a card and now has only one card left.
But there is one big problem for them: they forgot to say Last Card.
At many Nigerian Whot tables, forgetting to call Last Card can attract a penalty. The exact penalty depends on the table, so always agree before play. For this WhotGuide challenge, the rule is simple:
If a player forgets to say Last Card and the next player catches it before their own turn ends, the player who forgot must pick two cards from the market.
It is now your turn. You have three cards left. Can you finish the round cleanly?
The board
Table card: Circle 10
Opponent's hand: 1 card
Opponent's mistake: They did not say Last Card.
Your hand:
- Circle 1 - Hold On
- Triangle 1 - Hold On
- Triangle 7
Rules for this challenge
- This is a 1v1 game.
- You may match by shape or by number.
- Card 1 is Hold On, so the same player continues.
- The missed Last Card penalty must be called before your turn ends.
- No extra house rule is allowed beyond what is written here.
Your mission
Find the exact order that lets you:
- Make a legal first move.
- Catch the missed Last Card mistake at the right time.
- Continue your turn with Hold On.
- Finish all three cards before your opponent gets another chance.
This one is not only about the cards. It is about timing.
Write down your answer before checking next week's solution. The winning route is short, but one missed step changes the story.
Need a hint?
The first card must match Circle 10. After that, think about how Hold On keeps your turn alive.
